Restaurant-Style Pizza with the RICARDO Pizza Oven

We were looking forward to summer so we could host pizza parties in the yard. Our wish has been granted with the launch of our brand new pizza oven, designed specifically for this all-time favourite. Easy to use and ultra powerful, it cooks a pizza just like at the restaurant in about two minutes.

Our new pizza oven was designed to make restaurant-quality pizza in just a few minutes. It’s easy to use, quick and ultra powerful. Here are some facts about our oven:

A Beautiful Golden Crust

This oven uses gas to cook, just like a barbecue. The flame cooks the pie’s toppings while the stone bakes the dough underneath. That way, you get a gorgeous golden crust and perfectly melted cheese. All this in less than three minutes, tops!

An Ideal Temperature

The oven’s temperature can reach over 455°C (850°F). The infrared thermometer on the top of the oven precisely indicates the internal temperature, which allows you to maintain optimal heat to cook your pizza.

An Efficient Door

The door lets the oven reach its ideal temperature more quickly. The opening helps keep the heat inside. Between each pizza, keep the door closed to maintain the temperature.

Even Cooking

The pizza stone diffuses the heat evenly. We recommend that you always leave it inside the oven, except if you need to clean it. You can also simply brush off the burnt bits.

Pizza Baking

With these four tips, it’s very easy to learn all the secrets of a successful bake.

1. On the Turning Peel

A pizza turning peel is an essential tool for cooking pizza. What should you put on it to slide your pie into the oven more easily? White flour is good. Simply give a light dusting of flour to both the peel and your work surface.

2. Ready? Set? Preheat!

It’s essential to preheat the oven before using it. Like a barbecue, turn it on by turning the button for five seconds. It takes about twenty minutes to heat up. We suggest you set the temperature to high so that the stone can absorb as much heat as possible before cooking.

3. Rotate, Rotate, Rotate

It’s essential to rotate the pizza four to five times while it cooks using a turning peel or metal spatula. This allows the dough to cook evenly and prevents it from burning.

4. Be Patient

Learning how to use a pizza oven is a gradual process, we’re proof of that! Don’t get discouraged and be gentle with yourself, because it takes a few tries to get the desired result. With our advice and a little practice, it’ll become easier and easier.
