Tri-Coloured Popsicles

Ingredients

Blue portion (Jell-o)

Or (Blue Gatorade)

White portion (Lemonade)

Or (Pear)

Red portion (Raspberry)

Or (Watermelon)

Preparation

Blue portion

  1. JELL-O: In a bowl, combine the powdered gelatin and boiling water. Add the cold water. Set aside.
  2. Blue Gatorade: No need to dilute or sweeten the drink. 


White portion

  1. Lemonade: Combine the lemonade and water in large bowl. Set aside.
  2. Pear: Purée all the ingredients until smooth in a food processor. Set aside. 


Red portion

  1. Raspberry: Purée the raspberries until smooth in a food processor. Strain through a fine sieve to remove the seeds. Add the sugar and stir to combine. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  2. Watermelon: Purée the watermelon and sugar until smooth. Set aside. 


Assembly

  1. Pour the first mixture into Popsicle moulds and allow to freeze for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the moulds from the freezer and layer with the second mixture. Freeze and insert the sticks in the popsicles after about 1 hour.
  3. Return to the freezer again for one hour, remove from the freezer and add the third mixture. Leave in the freezer until the popsicles have completely frozen.

Note

Time is running out? Make these popsicles with only one or two mixtures. In any cases, they are delicious!
