Pear and Raspberry Jam

  • Makes about six 250 ml (1 cup) jars

  1. In a saucepan, combine the raspberries, ripe pears and water. Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the sugar and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Add the firm pears and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes or until the jam takes a syrupy texture.
  4. Pour the jam into jars.


Step 1
Cook the fruit before adding the sugar to better extract the pectin.
