  1. In a saucepan, brown onions in butter. Season with salt and pepper. Add remaining ingredients, except for sea buckthorn berries. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Add berries and cook for 5 minutes or until fruit is cooked and liquid is syrupy. Adjust seasoning.

Note

If you cannot find sea buckthorn berries, replace them with blueberries.
