Black garlic can be found in the fruits and vegetables section of grocery stores or in some specialty stores and RICARDO boutiques. Its complex umami flavour has notes of confit garlic, plums, molasses and balsamic vinegar.

You can use unsalted butter for the black garlic butter since there is already salt in the buns. In this case, you can add salt to the black garlic butter to taste.
