- Place the pork pieces into cold water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Drain.
- In a saucepan, brown the drained pork in the butter. Add the broth and potatoes. Bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.
- Add the garlic and sliced kale. Continue cooking for 7 minutes or until kale is tender. Add the sorrel and cook for 2 minutes. Adjust the seasoning.
For a one-pot meal soup, add chickpeas or white beans to the soup. It is also delicious with cheddar cheese crusty bread.
