Strawberry Syrup (2)

  • Makes 625 ml (2 1/2 cups)



  1. In a heatproof bowl, combine the strawberries, sugar, and corn syrup. Let stand for 15 minutes, stirring once after 10 minutes.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap. Place the bowl over a saucepan of boiling water. Cook over simmering water for about 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the bowl from the saucepan, then remove the plastic wrap. Stir well. Strain and keep the strawberries for another use (pancakes, waffles, etc..). Cool the syrup and refrigerate until completely chilled. Use this syrup in the Strawberry and Brownie Sundaes recipe or on vanilla cake.
