"Totally Cool" Macaroni & Cheese

Preparation

  1. In a medium saucepan, sauté the onion in the butter. Add the flour and stir for 1 minute. Add the milk. Stir until the mixture thickens.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook the pasta in plenty of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain the pasta and add to the sauce.
  3. Add the cheese, paprika, Cayenne pepper and salt. Stir until the cheese has melted.

Note

To assist your child, grate the cheddar and mozzarella or purchase them already grated.
