Depending on the use you will make of this basic white sauce, you can infuse it of flavor start by infusing the milk with a peeled onion and 2 or 3 cloves. Also, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper and a little grated nutmeg to the béchamel sauce to make it more interesting.
