We were reluctant to make this decision, but given the crisis the world currently faces, we owe it to ourselves to show solidarity and adopt the safest possible measures for the good of all.
Moreover, for our head-office employees, we have taken various actions:
- Daily communications will be sent out to provide them with the most recent information on COVID-19, to implement the preventative measures recommended by Health Canada and to adopt optimal hygiene measures.
- We strongly encourage telecommuting, which will allow the majority of our employees to work remotely.
- We are extremely vigilant in preventative screening of employees presenting symptoms associated with those of COVID-19 and those who have travelled abroad in recent weeks.
The doors of our boutiques and restaurants will be closed, but you will still be able to shop at our online boutique and have your packages delivered directly to your home.
We would also like to take this moment to invite you to support local businesses that are going through this difficult situation. And not just ours. As so many of many of us will be confined to our homes, why not take the opportunity to buy books by Canadian authors, subscribe to one of our country’s magazines, support our local grocers or order products online from Canadian websites. That, at any rate, is what Brigitte and I are planning to do. You can continue to follow us on social media. Every day, we’ll share ideas with you to make it easier to prepare your meals and keep your kids entertained.
