October 28-November 1, 2019: What to Cook This Week

This coming week is looking good, isn’t it? We’re starting things off with a beautiful pasta dish, and things are only looking up from there! These tasty weeknight dishes will take dinnertime to new heights.

Monday: Pea and Spinach Pesto Pasta

Seeing green? This vegetarian pasta dish gets its gorgeous hue thanks to a purée of spinach and peas, and its bright flavour from freshly-pressed lemon juice and grated lemon zest. The whole is just too pretty to eat. (Almost!)

Tuesday: Pork Steaks with Lemon-Rosemary Fries

Elevate your usual Tuesday night pork chop by serving it alongside aromatic lemon-rosemary fries. Don’t forget the mustard gravy!

Wednesday: Fish with Braised Celery and White Beans

Looking to eat more fish? This quick and easy recipe is sure to become a weeknight staple.

Thursday: Chicken Succotash

Need a recipe that you can quickly whip up and eat before heading out the door with your trick-or-treaters? Also, at least the kids’ll get to enjoy a healthful veggie dish—with chicken for that extra protein boost—before diving into a bagful of candy later in the evening!

Friday: Hot Dogs with Broccoli and Cheese

If the kids are clamouring for hot dogs, why deny them this Friday treat? After all, you’ve had a long week and these cheesy dogs are so simple to whip up. Bonus: We’ve added fibre-rich broccoli in there!
