What’s Trending: Breakfast and Dessert Tacos

Tacos are always a hit and are constantly being reinvented. And now, they’re not limited to the dinner table. You can also enjoy them for breakfast and dessert. Here are a few taco ideas starring waffles, and even ice cream.

First, Cold Stone Creamery created their waffle ice cream taco exclusively for Cinco de Mayo. The waffle played the part of the taco shell, which was filled with ice cream, then coated with a layer of chocolate and a sprinkle of crushed peanuts. 

The second, courtesy of Eggo, can be served at brunch. It’s a fried waffle that’s filled with chicken in adobo, bacon, grated cheese and a chipotle ranch sauce. These texture and flavour combinations are great at enhancing the traditional taco beyond lunchtime.
