The slightly nutty taste of the spelt flour enhances the flavour of the pecans and brown butter. However, you can replace it with whole wheat flour or unbleached all-purpose flour.

The roasted notes of pecans and brown butter pair perfectly with a soft cheese with a similar flavour, such as Adoray. Its creaminess works well with these crackers.
