- In a bowl, combine all the fruit.
- In a saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- The syrup will have thickened slightly. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla. Allow to cool before pouring into a small jug or bowl. Serve the fruit salad in pretty bowls and let each person add vanilla syrup, to taste.
