Preparation
- In a saucepan, cook the cabbage, garlic, broth and oil on low heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
- Toast the bread and rub it with garlic.
- In an earthenware pot (preferably), arrange the bread evenly.
- Sprinkle the cheese, add the braised cabbage, pour the hot broth and season with pepper.
- Bake for about 30 minutes. Serve hot.
