3 onions, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons (45 ml) butter
1 lb (454 g) sliced beef fondue
2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce
1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
Cream cheese
4 bagels, halved and toasted
Whole-grain mustard
Preparation
In a large skillet, gently fry the onions in the butter until they caramelize, about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
In the same skillet over high heat, brown the meat in the oil. Add the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Adjust the seasoning.
Generously spread the bottom bagel slices with cream cheese. Cover with meat and garnish with caramelized onions. Spread mustard on the remaining bagel halves and close. Serve with a green salad or
