  1. Place the spices in a tea ball or tie them in cheesecloth.
  2. In a saucepan, bring the remaining ingredients to a boil with the spices and stir.
  3. Simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 45 minutes or until the fruit is translucent and the juices are syrupy. Let cool and refrigerate. Store in an airtight container.
