Caramelized Onions

  1. In a skillet, brown the onions in the butter over low heat until caramelized, about 10 to 15 minutes. Add the vinegar. Cook for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Honey Mustard Spread

  1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Set aside.

Sandwich

  1. With a bread knife, cut the baguette into four sections. Slice each section in half horizontally. Spread the inside of the bread with a thin layer of the honey mustard spread. Fill each sandwich with caramelized onions, cheese, two slices of bacon, and green onion. Close the sandwiches.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the sandwiches over medium heat on both sides in the oil. Using a spatula, press the sandwiches and cook until the cheese has melted.
