  1. In a large skillet, brown the meat in the oil. Season with salt and pepper. Place in the slow cooker.
  2. In the same skillet, brown the onions and pepper with the spices. Add oil, if needed. Season with salt and pepper. Add to the meat with the tomatoes, beans, beer, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and vinegar. Covert and cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Remove the meat and shred with a fork. Return the meat to the chili. Adjust the seasoning.
