Preparation
Cheese-Stuffed Baguette
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine all cheeses. Season with salt and pepper. Remove a bit of the baguette crust. Keep for another use. Spread cheese on two baguette halves. Place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese has melted and bread is crisp and golden brown.
Bacon Topping
- While bread is baking, in a skillet, brown bacon. Add onion and cook until soft. Off the heat, add parsley and mix thoroughly. Season with pepper. Spread over the warm cheese-stuffed baguette. Cut into 12 slices.
Shrimp Topping
- In a bowl, combine shrimp and green onion. Season with salt and pepper. Spread over the other cheese-stuffed baguette. Cut into 12 slices.
- Serve warm as an hors d’oeuvre.
Note
If you prefer only one flavour, double the amount of either topping.
