Vanilla Roasted Strawberries

These syrupy roasted strawberries infused with vanilla flavour taste exquisite on a sundae!



  1. With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, combine the strawberries, sugar and vanilla seeds. Let sit for 5 minutes to let the sugar melt slightly.
  3. Roast for 20 minutes or until the strawberries are glazed in sugar and the cooking juices are thick and syrupy. Let cool. Transfer to an airtight container.
  4. The strawberries will keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Delicious served over cake or in a frozen dessert, such as our peanut butter and jelly sundae.


Roasting strawberries concentrates their flavour resulting in a taste that resembles homemade strawberry pie.
