Salami Subs with Pickles and Banana Peppers

  • Makes 2 subs, each 9 inches (23 cm) long



  1. In a small bowl, combine the oil and oregano. Season with pepper.
  2. On a work surface, cut the submarine buns in half horizontally without going all the way through to the other side. Open like a book and cover the insides with mayonnaise and mustard. Layer in the cheese and both types of salami. Top with the lettuce, tomato, pickles and banana peppers. Drizzle with the oil mixture. Cut the subs in half, if desired.
