Ingredients

- 2 to 3 citrus of your choice (such as grapefruit, cara, blood or navel orange, lime, clementine, lemon), cut into slices 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick

Preparation

- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 175°F (80°C). Line one or two baking sheets with parchment paper (see note).
- Spread the citrus slices out on the baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour. Flip the slices over and cook for another hour or until the slices no longer stick to the parchment paper. Turn the oven off and let the slices dry out for 2 hours or overnight. The dried citrus slices will keep for 3 months in an airtight container at room temperature.

Note from Ricardo

Depending on the size of your citrus, you will either need one or two baking sheets. If you have 3 oven racks, you can bake a third sheet at the same time. In this case, use the convection mode of your oven, if possible.
