- Preheat the rice cooker on the Pilaf function for 3 minutes. Soften the onions in the butter for 2 minutes. Add the rice and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly to coat the rice in the butter. Add the broth. Season with salt and pepper. Close the lid.
- The rice will be ready when the rice cooker has switched to Warm mode.
Chopped or grated vegetables can be added to this basic pilaf recipe when the onions are being softened.
