Because the power of food processors varies greatly from one brand to another, the time needed to produce peanut butter may also vary. Don’t worry if it takes a while for the peanut butter to transform into a smooth purée. The peanuts will pass through a few different stages before the natural fats are completely extracted, which is necessary for a smooth result.

It is important to add your liquid ingredients only once the peanut butter has formed. If you add them too early, it will prevent the natural fats from being extracted and you will not obtain a creamy peanut butter, but rather a dry and grainy paste.
