This sweet and savoury weeknight meal is sure to garner raves around the table. The caramel combines brown sugar and water, cooked until it caramelizes, followed by ginger, garlic, soy sauce and fish sauce. Toss in the meat until well coated and serve with rice and vegetables.

Friday: Chicken with Date Sauce and Roasted Rutabaga

This cozy recipe is a sure bet for tonight. Bake the chicken with dates in a spicy broth, and then thicken with creamy yogurt once it’s out of the oven. Top your plate with the rutabaga and you’ve got a tasty seasonal dish to put on the table to help make the winter more bearable.
